Venla Huhtinen (b. 1995) is a Helsinki-based visual artist, muralist and designer. Her main media are murals, oil paintings and installations. Her art is known for its bold colours, graphic elements and hands that move in absurd environments. Her works interpret observations of society and human relationships with a humorous touch.
Huhtinen’s artistic expression was liberated and deepened during her work at the internationally renowned design studio Estudio Campana (São Paulo, Brazil), where the experimental approach inspired Huhtinen to break traditional forms. In addition, artist residencies in Mexico, Colombia and Benin have been central to her career, bringing new influences and deepening her thematic interpretation. Huhtinen’s murals can be seen in streetscapes around the world and on the walls of many public buildings. Huhtinen’s work has been exhibited at the Amos Rex Art Museum as well as gallery and public space exhibitions.
