Veikko Myller

Sculptor Veikko Myller has developed a distinctive and instantly recognisable style. His sculptures are colourful and clearly figurative, often with a strong narrative quality. Myller’s animal figures, mysterious horsemen, and enigmatic winged beings come together to form an entire mythological world. Viewers can only speculate about the significance of its heroes and gods, drawing on more familiar mythological imagery.

Yet Myller’s work is far from overly solemn. The grandeur and poetic quality of his mythical creatures readily give way to playfulness through their expressions and the relationships between the figures within his sculptural compositions.
