Päivi Eerola

Päivi Eerola (b. 1969) is a visual artist based in Vantaa, Finland, with a background in design.

Eerola’s oil paintings are journeys through an inner world, moving between abstraction and representation. They soar through timeless landscapes—places unfamiliar to the feet yet liberating to the heart.

Guided by intuition, Eerola uses line in a rich and distinctive way. Despite her impulsive working process, the paintings appear naturally considered and composed. Her brushstrokes are precise, the layers thin, and the surfaces smooth. Her skilful use of colour creates a luminous atmosphere that invites the viewer into a world of fantasy.
