Marianne Huotari

Marianne Huotari is a Helsinki-based ceramic and textile artist. Her ceramic rya works weave Nordic craft traditions into contemporary art, inviting us to embrace slowness as a counterbalance to the hectic pace of life.

Her works are composed of small pieces that bear the traces of touch, each passing through her hands several times during the creative process. Meditative repetition and harmonious colours create surfaces that invite touch, where every piece has its place.
