Jenni Tuulia Siltala

Jenni Tuulia Siltala graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Dundee in Scotland in 2019. Through her paintings, she depicts meaningful places, their atmosphere, and her own memories. She uses photographs she has taken herself as references for her work.

“In my work, I reflect extensively on my surroundings and the experience of belonging—on how we put down roots in our environment and what different places mean to us. Seas and lakes are among my favourite subjects, as they evoke many positive memories and a strong sense of nostalgia.”
