I do creative work with passion, love and strong professional skills. I am a productive and versatile designer with years of experience. As a designer, I have focused on print and graphic design, but clothing, textile and product design also come naturally to me.
Nature and its vegetation, especially the structures and shapes of trees and plants, are inspiring. Geometry, colors, art and stories are also a key resource in my design.
I am a passionate walker, an outdoorsman – along my paths there are seasides, forests and urban city environments. When I am outdoors, I observe and scan the environment, capturing visually interesting scenes with my mobile phone camera. I have built several of my patterns from photos I have taken of nature and the environment. Nature is an endless resource – it gives strength and answers; it clarifies and calms. Another key inspiration is geometry – squares, triangles, circles, ovals, rectangles and lines – the chameleon-like movement and transformation of shapes. Basic shapes are the cornerstone of design. And then there are the colours; pattern is the collaboration of form and colour, which can create endlessly different worlds and moods.
Colour matters.
