Venla Huhtinen (b. 1995) is a Helsinki-based visual artist, muralist and designer. Her main media are murals, oil paintings and installations. Her art is known for its vibrant colours, graphic elements and, in particular, hands that find themselves in absurd situations. His works offer a humorous take on perceptive observations of society and human relationships.
Huhtinen’s artistic expression became freer and more profound whilst working at the internationally renowned Estudio Campana (São Paulo, Brazil), where the experimental approach inspired him to break with traditional forms. Furthermore, artist residencies spent in Mexico, Colombia and Benin have been pivotal in his career, bringing new influences and deepening his thematic interpretation. Huhtinen’s murals can be seen on streetscapes around the world, as well as on the walls of many businesses. His works have been exhibited at the Amos Rex art museum as well as in smaller gallery and restaurant exhibitions.
