A mouth-blown glass vase with a unique colour scheme. Recycled glass was used in its production.

The Bloom series is the result of a project in which Anne Hirvonen explored ways of utilising glass waste at the Nuutajärvi glass studio. Glass recycling has a significant environmental impact. Compared to glass made from virgin raw materials, the use of recycled glass leads to savings in raw material costs and natural resources, energy savings of 20 per cent, and lower carbon dioxide emissions. As a material, glass is 100 per cent recyclable and can be recycled indefinitely without any loss of purity or quality.
