Maria Wolfram’s exhibition ‘Landscape within the Human – The Human within the Landscape’ comprises works in ink, acrylic and oil, in which Wolfram explores the human condition and encounters with others through narrative means. To her, human faces appear as landscapes of emotions, and landscapes as arenas for emotions and encounters. The works, which depict human faces, landscapes and human figures within landscapes, offer the viewer the opportunity, amongst other things, to immerse themselves in stories, to encounter both their own and others’ emotions, or simply to be momentarily perplexed whilst standing before a painting.
