The works are still-life paintings, a genre in which the artist feels most at ease exploring his thoughts. They offer veiled expressions of intense emotions and reflections on lived moments, or simply depictions of everyday objects. Their titles invite viewers to explore their meaning while leaving room for personal interpretation. True to the artist’s practice, the works are small-scale oil paintings on canvas. Traditional painting techniques and the values associated with them are strongly present throughout.
